Two ways to master PDFs in Firefox CNET News

The first, Download Statusbar , doesn't actually enable in-browser rendering of PDF documents but gives the user a status bar at the bottom of the browser window that displays the progress of downloads and allows the user to double-click any download to open it in the application of one's choice. In other words, no more searching for the Downloads window to check on the status of a file download, and no more scouring one's hard drive to remember where the download went. Download Statusbar keeps it all in Firefox. For my PDF documents, I just double-click the status bar to open them in Preview. Easy. If you use a Mac and you prefer to have PDFs rendered in the browser, you can thank Google for its simple but excellent Quartz PDF viewer, which does one thing really well: opens PDFs as if they were HTML right in the browser. If you want it to do more than that, well, it's an open-source project, so feel free to contribute. If you use the two together, Google's Quartz PDF viewer overrides Download Statusbar for PDF files. So, if you want to manage PDFs through Download Statusbar, you won't want Quartz PDF viewer. But through add-ons like this, Mozilla and its large and diverse community have you covered.

I have recently joined Orange broadband, which has a 2gb a month download limit, and as I occasionally download files etc I want to have an idea of how much I am downloading,
So basically I am asking is there a program (free, of course) which monitors your downloads (torrents aswell) so I know how much I have downloaded
OR
Can you do this by going to the orange website and getting all of your details up.
I have two computes in the house, both connected up to orange but i only download on one of them.

I have downloaded two 70mb files so far using torrents. So is this going to break my download limit?

Hi. I am using a shared computer and every time I download something (Such as I-tunes for example) it gets downloaded onto the other accounts on this computer.
I'm looking to download AIM or some other type of messenger that has to be downloaded but won't download because it will be downloaded to all accounts. I only want it on mine.
Any advice? Thank you
It depends on what Operating system do you use.
You can install a program for a single account in most of the operating systems which has users accounts in it.

How to download rapidshare files without downloading one time each?

You see i have already a Premium Account on Rapidshare. But i want a software which whenever the first file is downloaded, immediately the second file will start downloading,and it continues like that. I don't like when the part1 is downloaded and i have to go,copy the link,and press download part2.I only want it to do it one time. Like copy all the links in a program and it will download one each time.
You have a premium account so this means ignore the spam posts of "premium for free" answers - pure spam with people trying to get referals for their own account!
You can either use RAPGET as suggested (really easy - just change the settings one time with your account name & password, and then copy/paste the links & press start), or indeed you can use the tools that Rapidshare actually recommend. Here is the direct link http://rapidshare.com/rsm.html

Download Books from Google Book Search
Google Book Search lets you download books, but only if they're in public domain, like Hamlet. All the other books are available as a limited preview or as a snippet view in Google Book Search.
You could download the image corresponding to each page of a book or you could automatize the process using a download manager. Another option is to use Google Book Downloader, a third-party Windows tool that downloads the pages from Google Book Search using several proxies and merges the images in a PDF file. Google Book Downloader will only retrieve the pages that are available online, so you won't be able to download entire books in most cases. The application requires .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and it's not very clear if it breaks the terms of use for Google Book Search.
